Municipal Code Consulting, LLC was founded by a team of accomplished professional engineers and building officials with the common purpose of improving public safety and reducing construction-related costs through the provision of high-quality third-party plan reviews, and other departmental services, on behalf of governmental units in the domains of building safety / construction, fire safety / prevention, public / environmental health, and accessibility.

Felix brings nearly two decades of public and private sector code enforcement and development experience.  He recently served as the Chief of Building Inspections / BBRS Administrator and Director of Code Development and Manufactured Buildings for the MA Department of Public Safety, and previously held positions with the Boston Housing Authority and the towns of Framingham, Cohasset, Sherborn, and Dover, MA.  He is a Certified Building Official and Registered Sanitarian, and is an active member of the International Code Council, National Fire Protection Association, National Environmental Health Association, American Academy of Sanitarians, and many other state and regional professional organizations.  He previously served on the ICC's Tall Wood Ad Hoc Committee, and currently serves on multiple Technical Advisory Committees for the NFPA. Felix also serves on the adjunct faculty in the City Planning and Urban Affairs Program at Boston University.

Dana Haagensen, PE, FSFPE, CFEI

Dana has nearly 20 years of fire protection engineering experience in both the public and private sectors.  He has previously held positions at Kidde-Fenwal, the National Fire Protection Association, the MA Department of Fire Services, and Jensen Hughes.  Currently, Dana serves as the Director of Administration and Finance at the Framingham Fire Department in Framingham, MA.  In addition to his professional background, Dana is currently an active member of the Fire Prevention Association of MA, Society of Fire Protection Engineers -- New England Chapter, and multiple NFPA Technical Committees. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers International and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators

Chris is an accomplished building inspector and plans examiner, with over 15 years of experience in public an non-profit code enforcement and inspections.  Chris has served as an inspector and plans examiner in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Virginia, and currently serves as the Chief Plans Examiner and Local Inspector for the City of Lowell, MA.  He has served on the CSL exam item writing committee to help transition the exam from the 2009 to the 2015 International Codes, and as a member if the International Code Council's IPMC / IZC Code Development Committee as well as the Building Membership Council.  He is an active member of the MA Building Commissioners and Inspectors Association and the RI Building Official Association, and serves as the MetroWest Building Officials Association's designee to the MA Federation of Building Officials' Board of Directors.
